Love Without Limits: A Second Start

Second Start Rescue exists for the dogs who were overlooked, out of time, or never given a real chance. Formed on November 6, 2024, following the unlawful hostile takeover of Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue, it carries forward the same mission with renewed clarity and purpose.

Based in Virginia, we are a foster-based rescue with a strong focus on German Shepherds and urgent cases coming out of Texas. With foster homes and trusted connections coast to coast, we move dogs from crisis into stable, committed homes across the country.
